Landing page design built for the ad that sends the click
The short answer
Sending paid traffic to your homepage is paying for attention and then losing it. A landing page built for one ad, one audience and one action routinely converts at multiples of a generic page — which cuts your cost per acquisition by the same factor.
PMG designs and builds landing pages specifically for paid traffic: the headline matches the ad, the page loads in under two seconds on mobile, the proof is where the doubt is, and there's one thing to do.
What makes a landing page convert
- Message match — the headline repeats the promise the ad made
- Speed — under two seconds to meaningful content on a mid-range phone over 4G
- One goal — one primary action, no navigation menu leaking attention
- Proof near the claim — reviews, numbers, logos, certifications placed where doubt arises
- Objections answered before they're asked
- Friction removed — fewer form fields, autofill, WhatsApp as an alternative
- Mobile-first layout — thumb-reachable CTA, readable without zooming
Our landing page process
- Start from the ad and the audience — what was promised, and to whom.
- Research objections from sales calls, reviews and support transcripts.
- Write the page before designing it. Copy decides conversion; design supports it.
- Design mobile first, then adapt to desktop.
- Build for speed — static where possible, compressed media, minimal scripts.
- Wire tracking — conversion events, server-side where possible, UTMs preserved into the CRM.
- Test the biggest variable first — usually the offer or headline.
Anatomy of a high-converting landing page
- Headline that repeats the ad's promise — the visitor should feel they're in the right place in under a second.
- Sub-headline with the specific outcome — who it's for and what they get.
- Hero visual or video that shows the product or result, not a stock image.
- Primary call to action visible without scrolling on mobile.
- Proof — reviews, ratings, numbers, recognisable clients or certifications.
- How it works — three simple steps.
- Objections answered — price, delivery, eligibility, risk.
- Secondary CTA and WhatsApp option for people who want to ask first.
What is the anatomy of a high-converting landing page?
| Section | Job | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Headline | Repeat the ad's promise in the visitor's words | Brand slogan instead of a benefit |
| Sub-headline | Say who it's for and what happens next | Vague claims |
| Hero visual | Show the product, result or person | Stock photos |
| Primary CTA | One clear action above the fold | Several competing buttons |
| Proof | Reviews, ratings, numbers, logos only with permission, certifications | Unverifiable claims |
| Benefits and details | Answer the questions that stop people buying | Feature lists without meaning |
| Objection handling | Price, delivery, returns, eligibility, guarantees | Hiding difficult information |
| FAQ | Remaining questions in plain language | Marketing copy disguised as FAQ |
| Final CTA | Repeat the action with reassurance | No CTA at the bottom |
How fast should a landing page load?
Speed is conversion. Google's Core Web Vitals define a good experience as LCP within 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 milliseconds and CLS below 0.1, measured on real users (web.dev). For paid traffic on Indian mobile networks, we build pages to show meaningful content well inside that, with:
- Compressed, correctly sized images in modern formats
- Minimal third-party scripts — every tag has to justify itself
- Server-rendered content, no layout jumps from late-loading elements
- Fonts subset and preloaded
See website speed optimisation for existing sites.
Forms, WhatsApp or call: which capture method converts?
| Method | Converts best when | Quality control |
|---|---|---|
| Short form (2–4 fields) | The next step is clear and low-commitment | One qualifying question |
| Multi-step form | More detail is needed without scaring people off | Progressive questions, easy first step |
| WhatsApp button | Buyers want to ask before committing | Automated qualifying messages, fast human reply |
| Click-to-call | Urgent services, older audiences | Call tracking with minimum duration |
| Booking calendar | Consultations and demos | Qualification before the calendar |
Many of our pages offer two options — a short form and WhatsApp — and let the data decide. See message match for aligning the page to each ad.
What does landing page design cost?
Landing pages are priced per page or as templates: a single campaign page is a small project; a reusable template system that marketing can duplicate for new campaigns costs more upfront and less per page afterwards. Costs rise with custom illustration, video, integrations (CRM, booking, payments) and A/B testing setup. We quote per scope, plus 18% GST.
Landing page launch checklist
- Headline matches the ad and search term
- Loads fast on a mid-range Android phone on 4G
- One primary action, visible without scrolling
- Tracking fires once per real conversion, with source and UTM data captured
- Form errors are clear and don't erase entered data
- Consent text and privacy link are present
- Thank-you page sets the next step and tracks the conversion
- Page is noindexed if it's a campaign variant that duplicates a ranking page
Landing pages by campaign type
| Campaign | Page focus | Key element |
|---|---|---|
| Lead generation | One offer, short form | Qualifying questions |
| eCommerce promotion | Product or collection | Offer, delivery and returns info |
| App install | Benefits and store links | Ratings and screenshots |
| Event or webinar | Agenda and speakers | Simple registration |
| Real estate | Project details | RERA details, walkthrough video |
A worked example: one page per ad message
A coaching institute sent every ad to its homepage. We built separate landing pages for each course and exam, matching the ad's promise in the headline, with fees, batch dates and a short form plus WhatsApp. Cost per enquiry fell because visitors found exactly what the ad promised.
Landing Page Design playbooks by industry
How a Landing Page Design engagement with PMG runs
- Audit (week 0–1). Accounts, analytics, tracking, website, CRM flow and competitors reviewed, with a written list of what's broken, what's wasted and the three moves we'd make first.
- Plan (week 1–2). Break-even ROAS or a target cost per lead, a measurement plan and a 90-day roadmap for Landing Page Design, with owners and dates.
- Launch (week 2–4). Clean structures, verified conversion signals, the first creative sprint and landing-page fixes.
- Optimise (months 2–3). A weekly test cadence, with budget following the cheapest incremental results rather than platform-reported ones.
- Scale (month 3 onwards). New channels, geographies and retention loops, added only when the economics hold.
Every week you get a one-page scorecard, a change log, the test board and a 30-minute call with your strategist. See how we work and pricing for details.
Why teams choose PMG for Landing Page Design
- Measurement first. Unit economics and clean tracking come before any increase in spend.
- You own everything. Ad accounts, data and creative stay in your name; ad spend goes straight to the platforms.
- Senior hands on the account. The strategist you speak to is the person running it.
- Weekly transparency. Scorecard, change log and test board — every week.
- Short minimum terms. We keep clients with results, not contracts.
- India and international. One Mumbai team running campaigns across Indian cities and overseas markets, Mon–Sat, 7am–9pm IST.

Frequently asked questions
How many landing pages do we need?
One per distinct offer and audience combination. A real estate developer with three projects needs at least three; a D2C brand with three hero products may need three per major traffic source.
Should landing pages have navigation?
Generally no. Every link that isn't your CTA is a way to leave.
Which is better — a form or WhatsApp?
Offer both. In India, many high-intent visitors prefer to message rather than fill a form. Track both as conversions.
Should landing pages be separate from our website?
They can live on your domain as campaign pages or on a subdomain. What matters is speed, message match and tracking. Pages meant to rank in search should be proper site pages; campaign variants can be noindexed.
Do long or short landing pages convert better?
It depends on the decision. Low-cost, familiar purchases suit short pages; expensive or unfamiliar ones need more information. Test length against your audience.
Can you build landing pages in our CMS?
Yes — WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or your existing stack, or a lightweight standalone builder when speed of launch matters.
Do you write the copy?
Yes. Copy usually matters more than design for conversion; see conversion copywriting.
Should landing pages have navigation menus?
Usually not — fewer exits keep attention on the main action.
Can you build landing pages on our existing website?
Yes — on WordPress, Shopify, custom stacks or dedicated landing-page tools.
How long does Landing Page Design take to show results?
Tracking fixes and search campaigns often show improvement within two to four weeks; prospecting on Meta or YouTube usually needs three to six weeks of creative testing; SEO compounds over three to nine months. We agree leading indicators up front so progress is visible early.
Is there a long contract?
No. Minimum terms are short, because we would rather keep clients with results than with contracts.
Will we own the ad accounts and data?
Yes. Everything runs in your own accounts with partner access for PMG, and you can see it all at any time.
What do you need from us to start?
Access to ad accounts and analytics, your margins and order values (or deal values), brand assets, and a decision-maker available for a weekly 30-minute call.
