Web design and development built to convert paid and organic traffic
The short answer
A website is the one piece of marketing infrastructure every channel depends on. Paid, organic, social, email — all of it lands somewhere. If that somewhere is slow on mobile, hard to crawl, impossible to update or unclear about what to do next, every channel underperforms and nobody can explain why.
PMG builds websites as performance marketing infrastructure: fast on mid-range phones, crawlable by search engines and AI systems, structured around conversion, and instrumented so every enquiry and sale is attributable.
What we build
- Marketing and corporate websites
- eCommerce stores on Shopify and WooCommerce
- Landing page systems for paid campaigns
- Content-heavy sites with scalable page templates
- Headless and static builds for maximum speed
- Web applications and customer portals
How every build is engineered
- Mobile Core Web Vitals passing on field data — LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1
- Content present in server-rendered HTML, not dependent on client JavaScript
- Clean URL structure and site architecture planned for SEO
- Structured data implemented by page type
- Conversion tracking wired before launch, server-side where possible
- Accessible: contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text, semantic markup
- A CMS your team can actually use without calling a developer
- 301 redirects mapped from any existing URLs
Choosing a platform
- WordPress — flexible, huge ecosystem, right for content-heavy marketing sites when built lean
- Shopify — the default for most D2C eCommerce; strong checkout and app ecosystem
- Webflow — excellent for design-led marketing sites that marketing teams update themselves
- Next.js / static — maximum speed and control for performance-critical or large programmatic sites
- WooCommerce — when eCommerce needs to live inside an existing WordPress ecosystem
Our build process
- Discovery — goals, audiences, conversion paths, content inventory and existing URLs.
- Information architecture — sitemap and URL structure planned for SEO and navigation.
- Content and wireframes — copy structure before visual design.
- Design — mobile-first, then desktop, with a component system.
- Build — performance budget enforced; tracking and schema implemented.
- QA — devices, browsers, speed, accessibility and tracking validation.
- Launch — redirects live, Search Console submitted, monitoring on.
- Optimise — CRO and SEO from the first month.
How much does website design and development cost in India?
Website cost is driven by scope rather than a per-page rate:
| Driver | Why it changes cost |
|---|---|
| Unique templates | Each distinct page type needs design, development and testing |
| Platform | Custom builds cost more than configuring an existing CMS or Shopify theme |
| Content creation | Copywriting, photography and video are often the largest hidden cost |
| Integrations | CRM, booking, payment, ERP, marketplace and WhatsApp connections |
| Migration | Moving content and redirecting old URLs from an existing site |
| Performance and accessibility standards | Real-device testing and optimisation take time |
| Tracking and SEO | GA4, pixels, server-side tagging, schema, sitemaps |
A focused marketing site is a much smaller project than an eCommerce store with integrations or a custom web application. We quote a fixed price after discovery, with the scope written down, plus 18% GST.
How long does it take to build a website?
| Project | Typical timeline |
|---|---|
| Marketing site, 10–20 pages | 4 – 6 weeks |
| Content-rich site with blog and resources | 6 – 10 weeks |
| eCommerce store with integrations | 8 – 12 weeks |
| Custom web application or large platform | 3 months + |
The most common delay isn't development — it's content and approvals. We agree content ownership and review dates at kick-off.
What should every business website include?
- A clear statement of what you do, for whom, and where, on the home page
- A page for each core service or product line with real detail
- Proof: reviews, examples, credentials, team, address and contact details
- Fast mobile performance and accessible design
- Contact options that suit your buyers — form, WhatsApp, call, booking
- Tracking for every meaningful action
- Organization, LocalBusiness and service schema
- Privacy policy and consent handling in line with India's DPDP framework
- A CMS your team can actually use
Redesigning without losing SEO
- Inventory every URL with its traffic, rankings and backlinks.
- Decide which pages to keep, merge or retire — based on data.
- Map redirects one-to-one to the most relevant new URL.
- Keep what ranks — content substance, headings and internal links on important pages.
- Test on staging — crawl, speed, schema, tracking and forms.
- Launch, submit sitemaps and monitor Search Console for several weeks.
Websites built for AI search as well as Google
AI assistants and Google's AI features read the same HTML search engines do. A site that is server-rendered, clearly structured, answers questions directly and marks up its organisation, services and FAQs is easier to understand and cite. See AEO and GEO.
Websites by business type
| Business | Recommended platform | Must-have features |
|---|---|---|
| eCommerce | Shopify or WooCommerce | Fast product pages, UPI and COD, tracking |
| Services and B2B | WordPress or a modern framework | Service pages, case studies, lead capture |
| Content-heavy sites | Headless CMS or WordPress | Structured content, search, fast rendering |
| Local businesses | WordPress or simple builders | Location, hours, reviews, click-to-call |
A worked example: a site rebuilt for speed and leads
A B2B manufacturer's site took over six seconds to load on mobile and had one generic contact form. We rebuilt it with product pages per range, downloadable datasheets, WhatsApp and quote forms on every product, and images optimised for mobile — with redirects from old URLs. Organic enquiries grew because buyers could find and act on specific products.

6 specialist services under one accountable web design & development team.
How a Web Design & Development engagement with PMG runs
- Audit (week 0–1). Accounts, analytics, tracking, website, CRM flow and competitors reviewed, with a written list of what's broken, what's wasted and the three moves we'd make first.
- Plan (week 1–2). Break-even ROAS or a target cost per lead, a measurement plan and a 90-day roadmap for Web Design & Development, with owners and dates.
- Launch (week 2–4). Clean structures, verified conversion signals, the first creative sprint and landing-page fixes.
- Optimise (months 2–3). A weekly test cadence, with budget following the cheapest incremental results rather than platform-reported ones.
- Scale (month 3 onwards). New channels, geographies and retention loops, added only when the economics hold.
Every week you get a one-page scorecard, a change log, the test board and a 30-minute call with your strategist. See how we work and pricing for details.
Why teams choose PMG for Web Design & Development
- Measurement first. Unit economics and clean tracking come before any increase in spend.
- You own everything. Ad accounts, data and creative stay in your name; ad spend goes straight to the platforms.
- Senior hands on the account. The strategist you speak to is the person running it.
- Weekly transparency. Scorecard, change log and test board — every week.
- Short minimum terms. We keep clients with results, not contracts.
- India and international. One Mumbai team running campaigns across Indian cities and overseas markets, Mon–Sat, 7am–9pm IST.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a website take?
A focused marketing site takes four to six weeks; a larger eCommerce or content platform, eight to twelve. Content readiness is usually the real constraint.
Will a redesign hurt our SEO?
Only if done carelessly. We map every existing URL, preserve or redirect it, and keep ranking content intact. Migrations done properly often improve rankings.
Do you provide hosting and maintenance?
Yes, as an option. You'll always own the domain, code and content.
Which is better for SEO: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or custom?
All can rank well when built properly. SEO depends more on speed, structure, content and technical setup than on the platform. Choose the platform for your team and business model.
Do you provide website maintenance?
Yes — updates, security, backups, uptime monitoring and small changes as a monthly plan, or ad hoc support.
Can you improve our existing website instead of rebuilding?
Often. Speed fixes, content improvements, conversion changes and technical SEO on the existing site can deliver most of the benefit at lower cost. We recommend rebuilds only when the platform blocks progress.
Will the website be accessible?
We design to recognised accessibility guidelines — contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text, form labels and focus states — which also improves usability for everyone.
Who hosts the website?
You choose. We recommend hosting suited to the platform and traffic, set up in your name.
How long does a website take to build?
Typically four to ten weeks depending on size, features and how quickly content is ready.
Will we be able to update the site ourselves?
Yes — we set up an easy content-management system and train your team.
Do you build multilingual websites?
Yes — with proper language versions and hreflang tags for search engines.
Is there a long contract?
No. Minimum terms are short, because we would rather keep clients with results than with contracts.
What do you need from us to start?
Access to ad accounts and analytics, your margins and order values (or deal values), brand assets, and a decision-maker available for a weekly 30-minute call.
